Funding Arts Broward Announces 2025-2026 Board of Directors; Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., Takes the Helm as New President Nonprofit Marks $735,000 in Annual Impact as It Launches 23rd Season


Funding Arts Broward (FAB), a dynamic, privately funded nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the arts in Broward County, has announced its 2025-2026 Board of Directors. The new executive officers are:


• Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., Chair

• Angel Burgos, Vice President

• Craig Wilson, Treasurer

• Steven Schermer, Esq., Secretary

• Mary Riedel, At-Large Officer - immediate past President FAB


“It is an incredible honor to serve as the new Chair of Funding Arts Broward’s Board of Directors,” said Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward. “FAB has a long and inspiring history of championing the arts in our community, and I am proud to continue that legacy. Together with our dedicated members and partners, we will expand opportunities for artists and arts organizations, enrich cultural experiences for all residents, and ensure that the arts remain a vital and thriving part of Broward County.”


FAB is also celebrating a milestone year, distributing a record $735,000 in grants to strengthen the arts community. Highlights include:


• $405,000 through its primary grant pool

• $300,000 in Arts Access Awards, a multi-year grants for arts education in Broward County Schools

• $30,000 for FAB Goes Public, a new public art initiative in collaboration with Mad Arts Museum, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and The Parker.


In addition, FAB Goes Public hosted an innovative art and technology workshop, MAD Academy, for 12 visual artists in collaboration with Mad Arts Museum.


To launch its 23rd season, FAB will host a celebratory rooftop reception at Northern Trust (1100 East Las Olas Blvd.) on Thursday, October 9, from 5–7 p.m. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres al fresco, along with an exclusive performance by Carbonell Award-winner Tim Davis, Executive Artistic Director of New City Players. The reception is free and open to new, returning, and prospective members.
