Let this be your sign to dine at Timpano

As Executive Director of the Las Olas Association, I have the pleasure of visiting Timpano at least once a month for our board meetings, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite perks of the job. Instead of gathering around a typical conference room table, we meet in one of their beautiful private dining rooms. I have to say, I think the setting has done wonders for our productivity! Omar Lorenzano, Timpano’s General Manager and former Executive Chef, always takes great care of us and makes every visit feel special.

If you haven’t experienced Timpano yet, consider this your invitation. And whatever you do, start with the mussels! At this point, the mussels feel synonymous with Timpano. I didn’t fully understand the hype until I sat down with Jodi Tanner, our Vice President, and devoured a plate of those buttery, flavorful mussels. Now, I completely get it. There’s a reason they’ve become one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and I’m convinced they can never leave the menu. Trust me, there’s an entire sea of loyal customers who would agree.

Timpano’s Golden Hour is another reason to stop by, starting as early as 3 PM and running until 7 PM. And this is not your typical happy hour. Think fresh oysters, spicy rigatoni, tuna tartare, crab cakes, and an impressive selection of crafted cocktails, wine, and beer. It’s the kind of menu that makes it very easy to turn “one drink after work” into dinner.

Everything about Timpano stands out, from the dramatic yet comfortable interior to the thoughtful approach behind the menu. Their farm-to-table philosophy highlights the freshest ingredients, with in-house baking and handmade artisanal pasta made from Italian flour.

If you’ve been meaning to try Timpano, let this be your sign! Stop in for Golden Hour, or make a reservation for dinner and take your time with it. Either way, you’re in for a good meal, and I’m pretty sure you’ll be planning your next visit before you leave.
