Objective:

Child safety should never be overlooked; Fort Lauderdale Children's Safety Day will teach the community about swimming safely, playing safely, boating safely, driving safely and living safely! Fort Lauderdale Children's Safety Day will also serve as Broward County's official site for Florida Bicycle Week 2006 (March 4th – March 12th).

Programs:

Free child fingerprinting, child car seat safety, water safety, boating safety demonstrations, bicycle & pedestrian safety, fire safety demonstration, 'Stranger Danger,' beach safety demonstration, personal floatation device demonstrations, CPR for children, K-9 unit demonstration, mounted police and much, much more!

Participants:

Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, Broward County Sheriff's Office, United States Coast Guard, Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue, Jack Nelson Swim School, American Red Cross, Fort Lauderdale Parks & Recreation Department and the International Swimming Hall of Fame
