23rd Annual Las Olas Art Fair
October 23rd & 24th, 2010
Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Free admission |
An annual fall tradition returns to Las Olas Boulevard in
downtown Fort Lauderdale. Ranked as one of the top 100 art
festivals in the nation by a leading art publication, Las Olas continues
to be one of the most anticipated art events in the area. People come
out yearly to see over 150 artists display their work in what looks like
a mini art gallery lined along the street. Las Olas Boulevard,
a popular tourist and resident attraction, boasts fine boutiques, great
restaurants and a fabulous city atmosphere.
The 23rd Annual Las Olas Fall Art Fair
is a juried show, which means each participating artist is hand-selected
from hundreds of applicants to ensure a first-class festival with only
the highest quality, original artwork. All exhibiting artists are
required to be at the festival the entire weekend. This gives you the
unique opportunity to meet the creators of the art on display;
commission a specific piece; ask questions about techniques; learn the
sources of their inspirations; and purchase fine works of art at
affordable prices. All of the work on display is available for purchase,
and with prices ranging from $15 earrings to $50 prints to $20,000
sculptures, there is always something for everyone.
Visit the poster booth to purchase the official Las Olas Poster!
Directions:
Take I-95 to Broward Boulevard and go east on Broward. Make a right
on Andrews Avenue, and then a left on East Las Olas Boulevard.
Registration is at SE 6th Ave. and East Las Olas Boulevard.

Las
Olas has always been Fort Lauderdale’s most charming thoroughfare.
Las Olas
is at the forefront of everything from fashion boutiques and art galleries,
to memorable restaurants, sidewalk cafes and bars.
Running almost parallel to Fort Lauderdale’s New River on its way
to the Atlantic Ocean,
Las Olas is a broad avenue divided by a wide landscaped
median
of flowers and towering shade trees.
Over the canal at the east
end of the tree lined median, in the Colee Hammock neighborhood,
are more shops, restaurants, and stores too unique
to describe … all worth
exploring!
The Las Olas location is within walking distance
of the beach, where Las
Olas Boulevard meets the ocean.
A
few minutes from most hotels and easily accessible by water taxi or land
taxi,
Las Olas is a lively, pulsating, world class boulevard. Night or day,
Las Olas is the place to be.
Special
offers and events, where to stay, where to eat - your guide to Las Olas
Blvd, the heart of Fort Lauderdale.
