Gran Forno Pronto Adds New Concept To Las Olas Dining Scene

Salvatore Annino and Peter Dennis have been delighting locals and visitors for fifteen years at their popular Gran Forno at 1235 East Las Olas. Now, look for their second Las Olas location, Gran Forno Pronto, to bring a new dimension to ‘Taste of the World’ dining.

The best pizza on Las Olas - fresh from the wood-fired oven.

T
hey  have an intimate indoor bistro in the former retail space, as well as extensive outdoor seating at tables and chairs with colorful umbrellas located on the brick paver blocks overlooking the Las Olas lawn.

In addition to serving the taste tempting pastries, desserts, sandwiches and other
specialties they have become known for, they pull out all the stops when it comes to their coffees! In fact, Peter waxes enthusiastic about their relationship with Illy, the largest distributor of coffee in Italy, Europe and South America. “Illy has been incredibly supportive of our new venture, using specially designed coffee cups and glasses for the frozen and iced coffees,” Peter explained. “We have even hired a barista, a specialist in making classic Italian coffee drinks.”

“The interior has an intimate, sophisticated European ambiance that you might find
at the famous Harry’s American Bar in Venice, Italy,” Salvatore told us.

The color scheme is dominated by the gleaming black and white carrara marble with splashes of turquoise accents along with the red logo of Illy Coffee. A bar that runs the full length of the bistro as does the comfortable banquette with small café tables.

Authentic Neapolitan pizzas are made in their wood burning oven. Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu that includes soups, salads, sandwiches and specials.

Open 7 days a week until 10:00 p.m. Call (954) 467-2244.

Las Olas in the Community : Offers : Where to Stay : Events : Beach : Location : Join

Las Olas has always been Fort Lauderdale’s most charming thoroughfare.
Las Olas is at the forefront of everything from fashion boutiques and art galleries,
to memorable restaurants, sidewalk cafes and bars.

Running almost parallel to Fort Lauderdale’s New River on its way to the Atlantic Ocean,
Las Olas is a broad avenue divided by a wide landscaped median of flowers and towering shade trees.
Over the canal at the east end of the tree lined median, in the Colee Hammock neighborhood,
are more shops, restaurants, and stores too unique to describe… all worth exploring!
The energetically inclined can even walk down to the beach, where Las Olas meets the ocean.

A few minutes from most hotels and easily accessible by water taxi or land taxi,
Las Olas is a lively, pulsating, world class boulevard. Night or day, Las Olas is the place to be.

Special offers and events, where to stay, where to eat - your guide to Las Olas Blvd, the heart of Fort Lauderdale.
(often misspelled as Los Olas, Las Olas means 'The Waves')
